UKRAINIAN DAYS FESTIVAL

T he Ukrainian Days Festival was originally established as a means to bring the Chicago Ukrainian community together to celebrate their culture and traditions at a time, when it was forbidden in Soviet ruled Ukraine. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 the Festival became a celebration of Ukraine's freedom and coincides with Independence Day on August 24th.
