VYSHYVANKA CONTEST
Ukrainian embroidery is viewed as a distinctive artwork among other Ukrainian decorative arts. An ancient and symbolic tradition in Ukraine, it has found appreciation and popularity on an international level in fashion with many designers adapting this ancient heritage into a modern context.
Since 2017, the Vyshyvanka Contest has been enjoyed as part of the Ukrainian Days Festival festivities.
A Vyshyvanka Contest is again being planned for the 2019 Ukrainian Days Festival. Sign up will be at the UCCA tent. Great prizes will be awarded. Celebrate your heritage and wear a VYSHYVANKA!
Prizes will be awarded for the best examples of vyshyvanky in the following categories:
